Actually it’s more. There is at least some bus left. There’s not a scrap of Camry in that thing.

I've got one kid finishing middle school this year (8th) and two finishing elementary school (5th). Time flies.

My oldest started Kindergarten on August 11th, youngest is in preschool (3 days a week) since last week. I'm simultaneously sad and thrilled to see them go :D

And so it begins....
We have been cleaning out old stuff and my wife came across my son’s first day of pre-school picture. It is mounted in a homemade Popsicle stick frame he made the first week of school. It’s now hanging on the refrigerator. Makes me tear up every time I go to get something out of the fridge.

i think the cool bus and a real school bus only have paint and the flashing red lights.
that camry on the other hand most likely only shares the Camry font.

No. It shares a name.

It’s amazing how quickly it goes. My oldest started preschool last week. She was terribly excited to go, but then freaked out and started clinging to my wife’s leg when it was time for her to leave. That was a rough day. Now she loves it though.

My brother is the baby of the family, my mom went to take him to his first day of school, she was broken over how the time flies. He (seeing his older two siblings and two other neighborhood kids get dropped off every day for 3 years) grabbed his bag and sprinted into the building without even a hug for my mom. She still tells the story about how her youngest cheated her out of the moment.
My two older children are third and first grade and the youngest has 2 years to go before (real) Pre-K. Then the wife goes back to work, haha.

My oldest started her second term of preschool yesterday. First she didn’t want to go, then didn’t want to leave school. The teacher told my wife “you’ve got your hands full!”

My son starts his second year at a proper preschool next Monday. We went for “orientation” today which was just spending time in the classroom. He’s all excited now; last year he was in bad shape, having just barely turned 3. Screaming/crying at drop-off for at least the first week. Not potty trained (even though the center doesn’t do diapers - yeah, do the math). Still carried his little stuffed owl everywhere (not allowed) and still used a pacifier sometimes (not allowed). It was rough on all of us. This year? Cake. Our younger one will be waaaaayyy better, she’s already more independent.

It’s a great school and he loves it - he did get to love it last year, too. It was just a tough transition on all levels.
Glad to hear your kids sound like they’re good with it!
